We are just a couple days out from Mother’s Day— a day that often comes with a mixed bag of emotions. For many, it’s a day of appreciation and warm embraces, spending time celebrating the woman (or women) who shaped us. It can be a day spent being celebrated by loved ones for the sacrifice of raising another human being. For others, however, this day can be filled with pain and sadness: grief over a broken relationship with a mother or child or longing for a baby of your own, with no hope on the horizon.
If you are celebrating your mother or being celebrated, we hope this weekend is filled with all the joy, laughter and champagne. Dole out some extra hugs and kisses. Be grateful for the abundance of love that surrounds you.
For those with broken relationships that linger, we hope this weekend can be filled with hope of potential reconciliation and joy in the healthy friendships you hold dear.
For the woman longing for her own child, we love you and see you in your pain. We stand beside you in the messy road you didn’t choose.
Despite your story this Mother’s Day, let’s take the chance to celebrate the nurturing power of women—the love that abounds from mother to child, woman to woman.
Despite your story this Mother’s Day, let’s take the chance to celebrate the nurturing power of women—the love that abounds from mother to child, woman to woman. We hope you feel celebrated for who you are not just the title you carry. You are loved. We celebrate you in the beautiful power you possess.
